Monday Morning Madness?

Do you dread Mondays?

For some of us Monday mornings can bring with it a certain amount of dread. It's true. Let's face it, feelings of happiness don't always come easy, especially for those who struggle in that area. It's no secret that life can be difficult, and at times a little depressing. However, we can rise above it if we focus on the positive rather than the negative.

Here are some tips on how to avoid feeling overwhelmed on Monday morning, and carry on through the week feeling positive, happy, organized and encouraged.
Start on Monday with a positive attitude and a plan of attack. Then  follow your plan each day, and don't forget to keep your focus on the good aspects of your life. There are some key things we can do to help our daily moods and even make us feel happy in our current circumstances. . Don’t speak negative things because it will affect your mood.
Following a simple daily routine and having intimacy with the Lord are the keys to having a day filled with joy, and really does help to do wonders for our moods. Here are some simple steps for daily living that we can follow for optimum joy..

1. Upon rising quickly make or straighten your bed.
2. Either take a quick shower or fix yourself up a little. (Showers in the morning usually really help to set the tone for the day)
3. While still in the bathroom, quickly straighten up and wipe things down. (Keep paper towels and mild cleaner under sink for quick clean ups)
4. Make breakfast, clean up.
5. Throw in one load of laundry.
6. Sit down and spend time with the Lord. Read the word and pray. Put on worship music.
7. Throw clothes in dryer.
8. Straighten up and clean one room of the house.
9. Start dinner.
10. Eat with the family at the table.
11. Clean up kitchen.
12. Fold & put away laundry.
13. Straighten up house-quickly putting away things that have been dragged out for the day.
14. Make schedule for the next day. Tweaking it as needed.
15. Just before bed have a quiet time of meditation with the Lord and read a chapter in the Psalms.

Important Note: Be sure to take time to pamper yourself once or twice a week.

Now if you have children, of course this basic plan will have to be altered. But, if you follow the outline as best as you can, while adding in time for the kids as needed, you will find that your joy level will be much higher than if you just wing it.

Also, remember what the bible says about joy and negative thinking.
Phil 4:8
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Do Not Worry
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

The Battle Is In The Mind~Be Free Now!

Here is how I got the victory over depression and fear!

For years I struggled with fear, depression & negative thinking. When I learned the secret was simple and fixable, I set out to get the victory, and got it, completely.
How?

The Bible says in Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
So how do we renew our mind? It's simple, by reading the Word of God. The bible says that the Word of God is living and active and able to accomplish it's purpose. Basically, we need to reprogram our minds, in a way.
In Eph.5:25b-26

Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her  to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the Word.
So we need to renew and wash our minds & spirits through the Word.

Well this can take some time, I had to find a faster way.
I then discovered the "YouVersion Bible App", along with the "Audible app".With these two apps, you can listen to the bible anytime and anywhere. I was quickly on the road to recovery. I listened to it day and night, even while sleeping. Today, I can truly say that I am free from fear, depression and negative thinking. The Word of God set me free.

In the book Romans, we see that..."faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God." I heard a message once, where the minister was giving some scientific evidence on how our minds respond to audible words, etc.
Either in a positive or negative way, depending on what we are hearing. And that we can actually be changed and healed by hearing the right things. So I think we need to hear it, not just read it. You can be free too! Dive into the Word of God and renew your mind daily. Be renewed and refreshed. I know first hand, that listening to the bible works. Especially if you struggle in your mind! God is faithful to perform His Word in our lives. In Jesus's mighty name, be free!

Is 61:3 Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness!

Release Yourself from Fear

Release yourself from the bondage of fear and worry. When your faith is in the Lord, He will carry you in the flow of His Spirit. But, you must not hang on to the things of the world or put your trust in natural things. Your faith is substantive and vital to your success in any endeavor, and you must put it to work by actual belief and not just hope. The Lord is looking for a people who have a strong and working faith whose actions demonstrate His kingdom. Lean on the Lord. Trust and Hope in Him. Put your daily thoughts on Jesus.

2 Tim 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but power, love and a sound mind.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

~Creating a Beautiful Home~

      
Homemaking is an art! 
It takes dedication, planning and creativity. It is fun, fulfilling and, yes, sometimes frustrating! 
My number one rule for homemaking is, "keep it simple!" With several years under my belt as a faithful homemaker, I hope to share some of my secrets and tips on creating a beautiful & cozy home. 

Whether you are married with children or single, having a comfortable, charming and unique home is not only satisfying, but an important part of womanhood. 

We hope to inspire you, as well as, teach you, especially if you are new to the long lost art of homemaking. Follow me as we journey through life, one decor idea at a time, one chore at a time, one recipe at a time.

Get yourself a notebook and take notes. I like to use a three ring binder and add the subject tabs to divide it into categories. This is especially helpful for new homemakers and is a key ingredient to running a functional home. 

If you are organized, you will feel less overwhelmed, and able to do much more than if you are stressed out. 

Remember, we don't have to be super moms, and over achieving homemakers, in order to have a beautiful, organized and inviting home. So, rule number one is "keep it simple." Rule number two is "stay organized." We will discuss ways to get and stay organized for each and every room and task.

I personally have not only done the time as a wife, mother, and homemaker, but I have also done the research. So, stick with me because I am going to show you how to do everything faster, better, cheaper and funner! 
From finding those hard to find decor items for creating a cottage home, to finding the best deals on just about anything, to how to speed clean when dear mother in-law announces she is a block away and stopping by! And speaking of mother in-laws, we will have tips on managing them to! LOL!

Put on some coffee, or have a cup of your favorite tea. Grab your notebook and your favorite pen, relax and join in as we begin.
